Hotel Museum Budapest

Excellent place with excellent wi-fi, 24-hour reception, and a fantastic spa. On my first stay, the staff assisted me in finding transport. I recommend enjoying the breakfast options! I'm coming back for Christmas.

Marvellous location, 4-6 minutes' walking distance from a lavish Moorish - style synagogue. Positioned in the modern area, close enough to central Budapest and the Jewish Quarter, most areas of the city and bars, restaurants and shops in Pest.

Parking is a hassle with only two drop-off spots available!!! Cleaning services need improvement, dusty carpets, shabby bathrooms, and inadequate bathroom amenities leave much to be desired!!!

The reception stuff (with no exception) was very friendly and helpful. Really close to most attractions in the City Center.

The housekeeping was pretty bad.

Room comfort, allthough it was luxury room we choosed when booked.

The air, when you turn on the heating, can get dry. But that is just a minor thing.

Everything is great here, had a VERY POSITIVE stay for 3 nights.

Really good location and friendly service

The staff were friendly. Breakfast offered a wide variety, including delicious hot options and fresh pastries. The only drawback was that the room could benefit from additional drawer space for personal items.

The hotel is near the river and near public transport

Security is shocking.We found a third "door opening" security card in our room after we returned from a days outing.No-one in Management could tell us how it got there.A Couple of days later,the room safe had been unlocked. As we intended checking-out VERY early one morning,we wanted to settle our account the night before our departure. We were advised that it was not possible to do so !!!!!!!

Money issue The most disappointing thing about the Mercure Budapest Museum is that they charged me 70 euros as I checked in saying that they will return to me the whole amount as soon as I had checked out. Unfortunately I noticed later on that they never returned to me that amount. After calling them over the phone and after speaking with some reception guy who did not know anything about (very unprofessionally) I waited for they call since the guy promised to do so. Naturally they never contacted me and to date they have not returned the money. HOTEL ROOM The hotel room advertised (20 m squared) was not the one I received which actually was tiny and with an inclined roof that did not allow me to use half of it. SERVICE this 4 star hotel does not have a restaurant and they cannot make any kind of food that is not bar food. The cleaning service is not so good, definitely not a 4 start hotel. The guys at the counter have tried to make me pay 60 euros for having a friend coming over my room for 5 minutes !!! really ridiculous. Maybe there is apparently no internet (not really sure about it). As final not, try not to trust anybody here and around the city. My little esperience was quite negative in regards of trusting people 4 STAR HOTEL the Mercure Budapest Museum is an alright hotel but probably not a 4 star hotel. If you can try to look for an other hotel

The situacion in the city and the silencie in the room

The shower was broken and they did not change my room. And the water was not hot, only medium hot, which is not enough in winter.

cost of a beer , nobody in the hotel frequented the bar.So drop the price,make a proffit,and get people in

Location was great, just a few minutes walk to the metro and about 10 minutes walk to the centre. Very quite area. Breakfast was good with a reasonable choice.

The hotel was very warm and the air co was not working very well in our room. No coffee/tea making facilities in the room. A choice of warm vegetarian food at breakfast would have been nice.

I stayed in a Standard Double or Twin Room for two nights and loved the spacious layout with high ceilings. The room offered a comfortable bed and a lovely view. Breakfast was delicious, with a solid selection that kept me satisfied each morning. The staff were friendly and were pretty good too help with recommendations.

The spa area was a bit small and busy.
